Climbed this 9/17/23 - 1st Half relatively easy, 2nd half more moderate. Lots of climbers with dogs may have found 2nd half difficult. Overall a great trek.

Having a soft heart in a cruel world is courage, not weakness. Very true. I am so happy for Esther and the other pigs at the sanctuary living a life 100% free from harm, getting daily love and attention, getting belly scratches, rolling in mud, rooting in dirt, running in the spacious yard playfully, sleeping on soft grass and hay (mattress indoors for Esther), and getting daily fresh fruit and vegetables (which is fabulous gourmet food to a pig (pig feed and pig kibble is ordinary food to pigs)). That whole combination has made these pigs very very joyously blissfully happy. If only more pigs in the world had that life

Seeing Esther the pig at 2:20-2:30, and actually 2:20-3:10, you can really see how joyously blissfully happy that pig really is. It is so heart melting, and honestly almost brings out tears in me when seeing how most farm breed pigs just like Esther would be just as blissfully happy if they were also getting the same very comfortable, very pleasant, kindness and loving affection filled life safe and completely free from harm. Instead those pigs are going out of their minds chewing on metal bars and bruising their bodies up on concrete floors stuck in those dreadful tiny cages where they can't move, are constantly squealing while getting smacked and dragged by their ears and tail when getting moved around, and thrashing and screach squealing in unimaginable terror being forced to an agonizing non-stunning slaughter. The truth is, those pigs would be just as blissfully happy as Esther if they had her life, and Esther would be just as miserable and terrified as those pigs if she had theirs. That though is something too horrible to think about. Thankfully, that will never EVER happen to Esther. I just wish and pray that it will stop happening to all those other farm breed pigs just like Esther. To everyone out there: please please save the pigs
